·        The Teen Service Board (TSB) offers opportunities for young people to help teens in their community.

·        TSB Members gain an understanding of young people in Oklahoma County living in difficult circumstances and try to determine what their greatest needs and concerns might be.

·        TSB Members develop valuable workplace ethics and business skills, as well as compassion, empathy and expanded social perspectives.

·        TSB Members earn community service hours for school or service club requirements from a nationally- and state-accredited not-for-profit organization in supervised settings and activities.

·        Applicants must be in high school in Oklahoma County. 

·        TSB Members are selected after completing an application and interview process.

·        TSB Members must be mature, responsible, compassionate teens who enjoy working with people and are leaders among their peers.

·        TSB Members will be responsible for planning various projects that benefit the young people and families served by Youth Services for Oklahoma County, Inc. 

·        TSB Members are expected to serve a school-year term from August and to May.

·        TSB Members are required to volunteer a minimum of 24 hours at Youth Services for Oklahoma County, Inc.

·        TSB Members are required to attend a minimum of 7 of 10 TSB Member meetings to complete training and to participate in planning and completion of projects such as drives for school supplies, holiday gifts and Supporting Kids in Independent Living (SKIL) graduation, as well as provide support for the annual YSOC fundraiser in April. 

·        TSB Members are required to send a letter of resignation if unable fulfill their responsibilities on the Board.

·        Verification of volunteer hours will be provided and, if requested, letters of recommendation to colleges or employers will also be made available to TSB Members in good standing.
